An overbearing but loving mother (Olympia Dukakis), who is terminally ill, schemes to fine the “perfect wife” for her playboy son (John Stamos). He's a charming but cynical marriage counselor who has seen too much go wrong in marriage to believe his own could ever go right. She eventually finds a lovely nurse (Kelly Rowen) who soon melts her sons’ hardened heart, allowing the happy “matchmaker” to die in peace.
