The Story

Adapted from Tennessee Williams' surreal and poetic one-act play, Ten Blocks on the Camino Real brings to life a haunting dreamscape where reality and illusion collide.

Set in a decaying Latin American town filled with lost souls and faded legends, the story follows Kilroy (Martin Sheen in an early and riveting performance), an ex-boxer with a golden heart, as he wanders through a nightmarish landscape of despair, hope, and longing.

Originally produced for PBS as part of NET Playhouse, this rare 1966 television adaptation captures the bold theatrical vision of one of America's greatest playwrights.

Directed by Jack Landau. Also features Lotte Lenya, Tom Aldredge, and Michael Baseleon.
